I'm going on a vacation to Spain for two weeks on friday the 19th, so the amount of new skins and newsitems will be brought back to a minimum. Since I'm the only one running the website there's nobody to take over my role. I will be depending on internet cafe's .

WinModify relaunch is near

As you may have seen in the shoutbox, the WinModify relaunch is near. We plan to launch a beta within 3 weeks which has about the same functionalities as the current site, but in a new design and with much faster loading. Along with this big relaunch a new logo is coming. The expanded functionalities will become available in the next couple of weeks/months. Our goal with this relaunch is to attract more people, serve more news, have more skins, but on top of all to have a bigger and better active community. More news soon...

Windows 7 Logo / Win7 Tweaks section opened

This is the logo you'll see when you visit the Chinese Microsoft website. A little while back there was a RC event in China where the same logo appeared. Will this be the official Windows 7 logo? I also want to take this opportunity to let everybody know we've opened up a Windows 7 Tweaks section. Unfortunally the tweaks sections (XP Tweaks and Vista Tweaks) so far doesn't have a lot of content yet, so if you found a tweak, please submit!

Opera 10 Beta, faster and prettier

Opera, a well known web browser has reached beta status of their 10th version. This beta version was designed by Jon Hicks. Version 10 was designed keeping speed and eyecandy in mind. Opera 10 has new visual tabs, a resizable search field, speed dial (thumbnails of websites) and they promise a 40% incease in speed. Allthough it's beta status, you should give it a try. Windows 7 releasedate announced

Microsoft officialy confirmed the releasedate of Windows 7 to be October 22nd. Starting from June 28th people will receive free upgrades to Windows 7 if they buy a new PC with Windows Vista.
